Membership Tiers (Plans)
By default, your website includes a Free plan which can be customized and used to restrict content around your site.
When you add the Membership Add-on, and Connect Stripe, you can start adding multiple paid membership tiers, each with its own monthly/annual price, access rules and benefits.
Pro tip -
While there is no limit on the number of paid memberships tiers you can create - we recommend keeping 2-3 paid plans for most cases. It'd be easier for you to manage and for your customers to understand the value proposition.
We also recommend to be very clear around what each plan includes, and what the difference between plans is.
Customizing your plans
You can easily edit your Free plan or create new paid membership tiers. (Note - if you already have subscribed members on a paid plan, you won't be able to make pricing changes)
The plan edit modal includes the following data:
Plan Name - Choose a name to represent the plan. This would appear on the website and on any official invoice/confirmation your customers receive.
Price - On paid membership plans, you have to set a monthly and yearly price.
Description - Your plan can include a text-block with any type of info or widgets you'd like to include.
Features / Benefits - A formatted list with the features or benefits you offer on each plan.
Plan Status - You can set any plan to "Hidden" to avoid showing it on the website. Subscribers on hidden plans would continue to pay for the subscription and access the content normally, but the plan itself would be hidden from the website.
Access Rules - On each plan, you can set a bunch of rules for managing access and restrict content on your site.
On the plan editing form, you can adjust access restrictions for entire Podcasts, Video Channels, your Blog, and individual pages. When you restrict a podcast, video channel, or the main blog - all of the associated episodes/posts would be restricted as well.
You can easily set individual articles and episodes as restricted by editing them separately.

Free plan
All websites include a free plan by default. You can customize the name, but pricing is always set at 0 for this tier. The Free plan cannot be deleted, but you can always hide it from your website if needed.
When a visitor subscribes to your website via an opt-in or signup form - they are automatically placed on the Free plan. If a user selects a paid tier, they will receive all access benefits of the paid tier, plus all access provided on the free plan.
Once a paid member cancels their account and their account expires (at the end of the billing cycle) - they are automatically downgraded to the Free tier.
